The VOCP system was originally created as part of a project
to digitize a local business operation during the fall of
2000. It was subsequently open-sourced and released to the
public in Octobre of that year, under the terms and conditions
of the GNU GPL.
Since that time, VOCP has continued to evolve under the aegis
of Psychogenic INC's
open projects department.
Psychogenic.com's
other open source projects include the Mini
XML generator and parser, the RUST
RPM creation utility, the Moxy
mail proxy and others.
This website - the design, templating system architecture and integration - was all done by Helene Poirier,
of Psychogenic, who also created all the VOCP graphical interfaces.
Sincere thanks also go to the developers of vgetty
(the interface between VOCP and voice modems) and the SourceForge
crew for hosting the project site.
